Abanoub Daoud, Physiotherapist
Abanoub Daoud is a registered physiotherapist and the co-founder of Flexgun. He is the Director and Principal Physiotherapist at Flex Allied Health in Liverpool, New South Wales, and an Associate Lecturer in physiotherapy at the University of Technology Sydney, where he also works as Clinical Education Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physiotherapy, Western Sydney University, 2013
- Registered physiotherapist, Physiotherapy Board of Australia
- Associate Lecturer and Clinical Education Manager, Physiotherapy, University of Technology Sydney
- Director and Principal Physiotherapist, Flex Allied Health, Liverpool NSW
Clinical experience
Abanoub has treated patients across musculoskeletal, paediatric and aged care physiotherapy, and has worked with sprinters and other athletes on acute injury treatment and training load management. At Flex Allied Health he leads a nine-discipline allied health team covering physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, podiatry, dietetics, exercise physiology, psychology and behaviour support. The practice has been an NDIS registered provider since 2017.
Neck and upper back pain is one of the most common presentations he sees. Desk work, phone posture and sleep position drive most of it, and most of it responds to the same things: changing the load on the neck through the day, then strengthening the muscles that hold the head up.
His role at Flexgun
Abanoub specifies and tests every product in the Flexgun range before it goes on sale, and reviews the advice published on this site. The range exists because his patients kept buying recovery equipment that promised a great deal and delivered very little.
