Our editorial and review policy
Flexgun publishes advice about neck pain, posture and muscle recovery. That advice affects people's health, so here is how we produce it and who is accountable for it.
Who writes our content
Every health article on this site is written by Abanoub Daoud, a registered physiotherapist, Director and Principal Physiotherapist at Flex Allied Health in Liverpool NSW, and an Associate Lecturer in physiotherapy at the University of Technology Sydney. We do not outsource health writing, and we do not publish it anonymously.
Where our information comes from
We cite peer-reviewed research, Australian clinical guidelines and recognised health bodies. Where the evidence is weak or contested, we say so rather than pretending it is settled. We do not cite our own product pages as evidence for a clinical claim.
How we handle claims about our products
We sell massage guns, stretchers and resistance equipment. We describe what that equipment does and what the evidence supports. Percussive therapy and stretching help with muscle tightness and short-term symptom relief. They do not correct a structural spinal problem on their own, and we do not claim they do. If an article recommends a Flexgun product, we say plainly that we sell it.
How often we review
Clinical guidance moves, so we re-read our articles against it at least every 12 months and sooner when something changes. An article shows the date it was last reviewed once that review has happened.
Corrections
If you find something on this site that is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and note the correction. Email info@flexgun.com.au.
What this content is not
Everything here is general information. It is not a diagnosis and it does not replace an assessment by a physiotherapist, GP or specialist who can examine you. See a health professional if your pain is severe, if it has not improved after a few weeks, or if it comes with numbness, pins and needles, weakness, dizziness or headaches.
