Details

A 460g percussion massage gun that fits in one hand and reaches 3200 percussions per minute. Built for muscle tension, whether that is a tight upper back after a day at a desk or sore legs after training.

Percussion works on soft tissue. Short, rapid pressure into a tight muscle reduces soreness and the guarding that comes with it, which is why stretching or training straight afterwards feels easier.

It does not replace assessment. If pain is new, severe, or travelling down an arm or leg, see a physiotherapist or your GP rather than treating it yourself.

Using it on your neck and shoulders

Most people who buy the mini for neck pain sit at a desk. The muscle across the top of your shoulder holds your head forward all day, and that is the ache you feel.

  1. Flat or ball head, lowest speed.
  2. Work the muscle between your neck and the point of your shoulder.
  3. 60 to 90 seconds each side, before your stretches.

Never on the front or sides of your neck, or on your spine. Muscle only.

It will not fix a neck hump. That is the position of your upper back, and no massage device changes it. It takes the edge off the tightness so the corrective work is easier to keep up. The 8-week program is what changes the shape.

How to guide

Using the Flexgun mini-massage gun

  1. To turn on the Flexgun mini, press and hold for 3 seconds the power/speed button on the bottom of the device.
     
  2. Float the device across areas in need of treatment, gradually applying light to moderate pressure as needed.
     
  3. Press the power/speed button again to toggle between the 4 speeds.
     
  4. To turn off the Flexgun mini, press and hold the power/speed button until the device shuts off.

Can I use it on my neck?

On the muscle at the top of your shoulders, yes. Flat or ball head, lowest speed, 60 to 90 seconds each side.

Not on the front or sides of your neck, and not on the bony ridge of your spine. Those areas carry the airway, the carotid and vertebral arteries, and bone, none of which should take percussion.

Stop and get assessed if you have pins and needles, numbness or weakness in an arm, dizziness, or pain that wakes you at night. Do not use it at all on a recent neck injury or after neck surgery without being cleared first.

Will it get rid of my neck hump?

It helps with the tension, and not with the shape. Worth being straight about that, because we sell it.

A neck hump is the position of your upper back and the strength of the muscles holding it there. Percussion does not change the angle of your thoracic spine, and no credible evidence says otherwise. What it does is take the edge off the tightness through the upper traps, which makes the corrective exercise easier to stick to.

Battery and charging

Charging the Flexgun mini-massage gun

1. After turning off the device, plug the USB-c cable to a power adapter to charge.


2. The LED light next to the power/speed button will flash until fully charged.


3. Charging is complete when the LED light is solid green.


4. Make sure to charge the Flexgun mini for 6 hours. 

 

NOTE: Do not turn device on whilst it is charging.

With every purchase of the Flexgun mini massage gun we offer a 1 year warranty.

To have the Flexgun mini device or a part repaired or replaced under warranty, it must be returned with freight prepaid and insured to Flexgun. This warranty does not apply to damage that Flexgun determines to be from repairs made or attempted by anyone other than Flexgun authorised personnel, including misuse, alterations, abuse, normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or accidents.
